In Tuvalu, at Pacific Islands Forum, where UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and all Pacific leaders shared their view on the future of this region. With a population of 11,000 people and GDP per capita of 3,500 USD / year, Tuvalu is the smallest economy of the world and a symbol of climate change. Scientists predict Tuvalu could disappear, underwater, in the next 50 years. China Special Envoy to the Pacific joined the Forum to support local leaders and increase Beijing's role in Oceania, for long term dominated by the US. ,
