With Mark Brantley, Premier of Nevis and Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, during my trip to Basseterre. We met on the southern peninsula that borders the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean just few days after the United Nations General Assembly in New York where St Kitts and Nevis addressed the general debate with a speech on sustainable development and sea-level rise. The country is a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and the Organisation of American States (OAS).
