In Kiribati and Solomon Islands, after US Secretary of state visit to the Pacific and just before Tarawa and Honiara started a new diplomatic relation with Beijing. Oceania is the smallest continent in terms of population and economic value but very relevant in recent geopolitical trends. China is increasing its influence in the Pacific, including the region as a natural extension of the Asian continent where Beijing is the undiscussed economic leader.
