China in Africa: FDI, Tax and Trends - June 11th at ESSCA
We are pleased to inform you about the new seminar "M&A along the Belt Road" organized by ESSCA School of Management.
The seminar will be held on Monday, June 11 2018 at ESSCA School of Management in Shanghai and the objective is to present thoroughly and debate on the Belt Road Initiative, its participants, the main projects, relevant sectors, funding agencies and how it will shape the world.
The Initiative is expected to drift World’s trade centre from North America to the Eurasian continent. Under the scope of the BRI, many corporate transactions have already been triggered trough Asia and Africa. In order to tackle that need of transport and energy infrastructures we can expect an increase of takeovers, Joint Ventures, capital participation undertook by multinational firms during the next coming years.
Lorenzo Riccardi, managing partner of RsA asia tax advisors and PhD researcher at Shanghai University, will give a talk focused on "China in Africa: Foreign Direct Investments, Tax and Trends".
The other speakers will be Maximiliam Rech (ESSCA School of Management) and He Shuquan (Shanghai University, Shanghai Society of World Economy).

Lorenzo has taught taxation at Xian Jiao Tong Liverpool University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong, Tongji University and Hult Business School. Tax Advisor and Certified Public Accountant specialized in international taxation at IBFD Kuala Lumpur, PhD researcher in Asian tax at Shanghai University. He is based in Shanghai, where he focuses on business and tax law, assisting foreign investments in China and East Asia.
